Umoja Music School currently offers individual instruction in violin, viola, piano, voice, guitar, and drums.
Depending on age and level, students have a weekly 30, 45 or 60 minute private lesson each week.
Students also attend a weekly hour-long group lesson in which they make music in an ensemble setting and enjoy the more social elements of music-making.

Violin / Viola

A parent is required to attend lessons and assist with practice at home. As part of individual and group instrumental lessons, students also have the opportunity to learn about conducting, composition, music theory, and music history, as well as to experience a variety of musical genres from around the world and expand creativity through fun, collaborative music-based projects.

Instrumental students also have a number of opportunities to perform several times a year at Umoja Music School’s hub, International School of Moshi, Arusha Campus, as well as in a variety of other settings throughout the Arusha Community. Being on stage and learning to be comfortable in front of an audience is a key element to the education of any young musician, and Umoja makes certain that our students have ample opportunities to perform…and have fun doing it!
